Our Stories II

"Our Stories II" provides an important opportunity for the reader to hear the voices of African American individuals often absent from the education conversation. These voices provide a greater awareness and clearer understanding of the level of personal and professional challenges that Black professionals and students working and studying on predominately white campuses must successfully navigate. Understanding the complexity of these concerns should create a greater awareness and sensitivity to the issues confronting black professionals in higher education. The writers represent a cross-section of black professionals in various positions at colleges and universities throughout the United States.
